Although we are happy to accept a very well behaved dog in our cottages (by prior arrangement), and do understand that they are “one of the family”, not everybody feels the same way and so we have to ensure that certain rules are adhered to in order to protect yourselves, your dog, the cottage and our future guests (who may well have allergies).
Your dog is not allowed onto the furniture or into the bedrooms. Where possible we have a stair gate for this purpose.
Your dog must never be left alone in the cottage.
As there is livestock on the Wern Estate, it is essential that your dog is kept on the lead when walking along the lanes (particularly important during lambing season). Although the cottages are walled or fenced, there will always be a gap that a determined dog could squeeze through.
Any poo must be picked up and disposed of.
If you come in from a wet walk, please rub any dirt off your dog outside, rather than letting them shake themselves dry inside the house (as some have done before).
Check that the beach is dog friendly before setting off with your picnic basket for the day.
Please report any marks, or damage to us, however small, before you leave. As long as these rules are kept to, we are sure that both you and your 4 legged friend will have a wonderful holiday!
